City of Fallen Angels ( The Mortal Instruments #4 )

“There might not be so much of a difference between the side of Light and the side of Dark as you suppose. After all, without the Dark, there is nothing for the Light to burn away.”

Summary
Clary Fray thought that all her troubles ended alongside the Mortal War. But when her boyfriend begins to act suspicious and the bodies of murdered Shadowhunters start to appear all over New York, she realizes that once again she might get pulled into something so much bigger than herself.

Writing
I said it once and I will say it again. I love Cassandra Clare’s writing style. I love everything about it.

Characters
All of these characters have a really special place in my heart. I love them and I care for them. BUT EVERYONE IN THIS BOOK IS SO ANNOYING!!! I just wanted to slap every single one of them across the face. Clary is making one stupid decision after another. Jace is again playing the martyr. Simon is so OOC with him dating two girls at once, I don’t even know how to comment on that. And Alec. Alec is jus a big child. I am actually happy that he was gone for more than half of the book.

Plot
This book could be 50 pages long. I think that is all I really have to say. Nothing interesting or important happened until the very end of the book. It was simply boring.

Overall
I love this series. I adore the previous and the following books. But this one is just bad. Soooo bad.

    1. It really helped the transition! I just felt like this could be done in 3-5 chapters in City of Lost Souls instead of in a separate book. I just felt like nothing was happening, until the very end. I am very glad that you loved it though! That’s awesome 🙂
