I thought my January was bad, but it turns out that February was exactly the same! Yaaaay! At least it wasn’t worse, right? But now I am officially declaring that I am going to do better in March, so hold me accountable.
Number of books I read: 6
Pages: 2376
The Stone’s Heart – Jessica Thorne
I finished The Stone’s Heart on February 14th and I couldn’t ask for a better valentine. This book was a perfect read for me. It was exactly what I needed after such a long slump: action-packed, with amazing plot and investing romance.
This one definitely wasn’t as great as the previous one, but it was still a lot of fun. It had plenty of action, but sadly the characters were very poorly written.
The Witch Doesn’t Burn In This One – Amanda Lovelace
I was in mood for some poetry. And I really enjoyed The Princess Saves Herself in This One. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case with this one. I felt very disconnected from every single poem and I couldn’t enjoy or relate to them, even though most of them spoke of things I have experienced. I was very disappointed.
I waited what felt like ages for this book and I am so glad it didn’t disappoint. I loved everything about it. My only complaint is that it was only 500 pages long.
The Reader – Traci Chee
I feel like I could have enjoyed this book much more if I had read it, instead of listening to it. The narrator of the audiobook was really bad. It took me more than a month to finish it, because I just couldn’t focus on what the narrator was saying. That’s a shame, because this book had a lot of potential.
I think it was almost a year since I read a book from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. And it was too long. You can all say whatever the hell you want about these books, but I have SO MUCH FUN reading them. At this point I don’t even pretend to care about the plot. I just love these characters, especially the ones from the original cast.
Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? What have you read this month? Let me know!
Great reviews! I felt the same about the Witch… I felt like it was angrier but not very relatable too

Yeah, it definitely felt much angrier, but I feel like it wasn’t as honest. Something definitely was lacking, and that’s a shame. I hoped it would be as good as The Princess…

I agree. Maybe the mermaid will be better but I probably won’t pick it up for a while if I do

Haha my March reading was going pretty well, but then I picked The Priory of the Orange Tree and this book is HUUUUGE. It’s going to take me like 12 years to finish it.
