January Wrap Up

So! I am doing my first wrap up! Somehow I managed to finish 6 books in January, which definitely isn’t the most impressive feat, but considering how insane this month was, I would say I did pretty well.

Never Far – It was the first book I’ve read this month (and this year… what a disappointing way to start 2019). I was hoping for something very creepy, but this was an overkill. I wanted something disturbing, but that was just disturbingly bad.

The Queen’s Poisoner – this is a book loved by many people. And it breaks my heart that I didn’t like it. It was just so incredibly slow. At this point I am not even sure if anything happened in it at all.

Geekerella – this book restored my faith in January. I thought I was condemned to reading mediocre books. But this one was SO FUN. It was cute and sweet, but it also hit very close to home more than a couple of times. I already want to reread it.

Strange the Dreamer – Speaking of rereads, I reread one of my favourite books from 2017. And it was just as good. Though I have to admit, I feel like I enjoyed it the first time a little bit more.

This Time – this novel was kindly sent to me by the author. It was a fun and light read, though it had its faults. But the set up for the next book was really, really good and I am excited to read it

Muse of Nightmares – I ended this month beautifully with another absolutely gorgeous book from Laini Taylor. It was everything I hoped it would be. It’s a very satisfying ending of this duology. Just spectacular!

Have you read any of these books? Did you like them? What did you read this month?

  2. This is a great wrap up, and it seems you had a varied selection of books 🙂
I’ve recently started reading The Queen’s Poisoner myself and so far I’m a bit indifferent to it. I’m hoping things pick up but I’m wondering if I’ll feel the same way that you did!

    1. I hope you are going to enjoy this book! Though it’s definitely a slower book and that’s why I didn’t end up liking it as much as I wanted to. But the ending is very good!
